Trinidad pilot for SWMCOL
SWMCOL (Solid Waste Management Company of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd.) contracted WTS for a pilot and study of their landfill leachate at Guanapo Landfill in Trinidad.
This successful pilot, that spanned almost 3 years, was installed in specialised waste containers to allow for transportation of the pilot to another landfill after Guanapo. Currently SWMCOL is deciding what are their next steps and we look forward to being part of their plan for full implementation.
COSIA – Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance
COSIA a consortium of Oil & Gas companies operating in the Canadian Oil Sands, with the University of Albert and through Foresight Canada are seeking innovative solutions to improve the environmental performance of the minable oil sands industry through low energy treatment of dissolved organic compounds. They are doing this through the following challenge.
Low Energy Water Treatment Technology Challenge in Oil Sands Process Water (OSPW)
In 2023 WTS made the finalists round in the Water Challenge – unfortunately, it could not be implemented at a bench scale size. We look forward to demonstrating our technology at a pilot scale when COSIA brings this opportunity forward. We continue to see this as a valid and exciting possibility.
Previously we had demonstrated our wetland technology in a poster presentation at COSIA’s 2016 conference in Calgary.
Single Family Home Systems
Yes, we even do small single family home systems. These are typically for difficult lots, smaller sized lots, and lots too close to ponds or streams. Or individuals who just want to have the best treatment system for their waste. We believe you should treat your waste, not just leach it or just dilute it.
Our systems for a 3-bedroom home are generally in the size of 3mx 5m, and costs are generally in the range of $25,000 + tax.
